Meet Mrs. Hawkey:

Hello, everyone! I wanted to extend a warm welcome to all of you and thank you for your patience.  I am very excited to be working within this amazing community and school district. 

I wanted to introduce myself and give a little background about me.  I graduated from Millikin University in 2020 with my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.  I moved back home to Iuka and began teaching at a local elementary school.  I then began earning my Master’s degree from McKendree University.  

In October 2022 I married my husband, Brandon, and we welcomed a sweet baby girl, Kollyns, into the world in June of this year.  We also have two loveable chocolate labs, Goose and Teal, who love going hunting and retrieving birds.

I look forward to an amazing school year and at any point in time if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.  I cannot wait to meet everyone and see some familiar faces.
